In basketball what does it mean when a player gets a turn over? Whoever has the best explanation will get best answer. Also, if you waste my time with comments instead of answers I will give you a bad vote!

hey relax with the threats of giving a bad vote sweetheart.hehe.. anyway, a turnover is when a team with posession of the ball loses the ball posession to the other team without even attempting a shot on the rim. a steal, throwing the ball out of bounds, a 24 second shot clock violation, 8 second back court violation all are turnovers in basketball. the player who commits these errors are charged with the turnover

When the player of one team loses possession of the ball to the other team, via a steal, a bad pass, a foul, or a violation such as "travelling/walking", 3-seconds in the lane, or double-dribble for example.

A turnover occurs when you commit a violation or become careless and your team subsequently loses possession of the basketball. Either that or a fruit pastry.
