I am having period-like cramps and according to my calender, I started to ovulate today. I have had these cramps for the past two days. I was wondering if anyone else experienced cramps during ovulation. I usually only have them pre-menstration. Could it be just normal, something I ate, or could I be pregnant?
I have had 2 previous miscarriages, and was afraid I could not conceive due to that (a blood clot formed behind the placenta which cut off the blood flow of the baby), however my OB-GYN said that I could still.

I appreciate your answers and personal experiences. Thank you!

Are you trying to conceive? Or is there a possibility that you could be pregnant? I know how you feel, I have had numerous miscarriages and I also am the proud mom of three great kids! (25 1/2, 23 1/2, and almost 20) It is important that your pay attention to your body! (sounds like you are) I would be concerned about an ectopic pregnancy, or a possible impending miscarriage. But don't panic, you may also be experiencing some of the other early symptoms of pregnancy. Maybe these things can help you sort things out:
1st, check when your last period was for sure.
2nd, if it is indeed time for you to ovulate...the pain associated w/ ovulation (called Mittleschmerz) is usually more like a "pinching" sort of feeling which does not last very long. Two days seems a little long, but not impossible. Did you experience this type of pain with your other pregnancies?
3rd, if you are pregnant you may be feeling the stretching of the uterus and surrounding muscles, ligaments, and tendons.
Do you have any other symptoms of pregnancy? Nausea, tiredness, etc.?
4th, if you have any serious cramping, heavy bleeding, dizziness or fainting, or sharp lower abdominal pain, have someone take you to the emergency room immediately.
And as always, talk with your OB/GYN if you continue to have symptoms, or if they get worse. Good Luck, and God Bless!
