Typically no.
One reason being that they are not so ubiquitous.
Another being that they are designed better, do not have so many exploitable holes and generally do not allow arbitrary changes to the core OS like windows does.
Windows is inherently insecure, and even with the so-called rewrite of their kernel this has not changed.
One reason for this is the profit motive of Microsoft which pushes releases out the door, bugs and all.
Of course there's also the conspiracy theories that there are viruses propagated by MS or AV companies, etc. etc.

No, Windows is the most susceptible operating system to viruses for one reason, it is by far the most popular.

Writing malicious software for Windows has become something of an art form, unlike Mac or Linux, which most users are either blocked from accessing critical operating system functions or in the case of Linux, scared to mess with for fear of physically destroying their computer (which Linux will allow you to do).

Hope that helps.

They could be, but why would someone trying to spread a virus choose them as a target? Over 85% of the world is on windows.

no,
because all other Linux, and Apple's OS are open source (you can add, reconfigure, change, and so on) and it is very hard to crack, also it is because about 80% of the population uses Windows, hackers and the Government attack Windows users because they are more common and easier to crack.
