I really do not want to have to pay for a lawyer. (Since the husband would probably not help pay any). I was told by the local courthouse that I could go to tennessee.gov and get the necessary forms, but I can't find them. They say they can't tell me which ones to get. I've also looked into websites like selfdivorce.com & such. Has anyone used those sites, and can vouch for their legitimacy? Also, if you did use a website like that, did it give you all the forms you needed to file for the divorce? Any help would be appreciateed. Thank you!

Wow. I have searched and searched, and I can't find them either. I did find a site that you can download the documents into Word. Supposedly, all the forms you need are there, and it's only $5.95 to get all of them.

Good Luck!

there are a ton of online sites that you can fill out all the paperwork out online. Its loads cheaper than a lawyer a lot of them average to be about 100-200 make sure you get one witha property settlement agreement too though. Its also easier when you need to make changes you can go back an make changes where a lawyer will start the timer all over again lol.
EDIT haha you sent me an email but your not accepting messages so i'll answer you here
Property settlement agreements are everything property cars, house, furniture, anything an everything besides gifts from family members i believe. You need a PSA no matter what in VA if you leave without one they can consider it abandonedment. A judge will also need to see it to see how debts and property has been distributed they can't just go off your two's word "its all good" haha. Plus you don't want to be responsible for his debt or for him to start taking stuff because he's pissed off at you later on. I believe the PSA also has a waiver for spousal support so its pretty important for both of you.
