Take a book or a couple of magazines or a gameboy and a bottle of water. And don't eat before the test this time, lol.

good luck!

My doctor forgot to test me for sugar at my 28 week appointment, when I went in for my 32 week appointment he asked me if he had done the test. I told him no - so he sent me to the hospital to take the test!! I went in and took the test and was told my levels were high and that I had to go back for the three hour test!!
I did that 3 days later and was told I had to fast before taking the test. I was a little worried as bubby wasn't getting fresh food for at least 12 hours!! but I don't think it has hurt!! I took that test and the results turned out fine.
I wasn't aware of the upcoming test and realised I had a big glass of Lemonade (very high in sugar) before the initial test!! I think that made a difference!!
Good luck I hope it all works out well for you!!

Yep, and it sucks! I ate about 6 jelly bellies on the way to the test and flunked by 1 pt. Next thing you know, I'm on a 12 hour fast and haivng to give blood every 3 hours. It was horrible! See if they will agree to do another screening test before they subject you to that, it totally sucks.

just to ease your mind 147 isnt really that high. just the next one you have to fast and if you are actually diabetic you will feel real crapy so bring some food or snacks to eat after the test is done

Yes, that will do it to you. Don't eat this time, took my mom years ago to do the glucose testing. I didn't eat either because she couldn't and I still think it was harder on her because she couldn't, then it was on me because I knew I could. Funny! Go figure!
