I don't think today's stock drop indicates anything. First, it is rare for overall market movements to be attributable to any single cause. Today's trading volume was around 7.5 billion shares. They didn't all sell for the same reason. Intel, for example, is still an overvalued stock. Cisco is even more overvalued. These stocks would have eventually dropped regardless of systemic pressures.

If China is diversifying their portfolio, good for them. It makes sense. At some point in the future, China will face a banking crisis. Their banks have overextended their loans without sufficient assets to justify them. I don't know how much longer they can afford to use their citizens for slave labor. When I was in China a few months ago, several people were complaining about the cheaper labor in Vietnam and they were losing jobs. There is also going to be a time when China will have to do something about their appalling environmental record; the clean-ups will be very expensive.

I have no problem with the dollar being weaker. A weakened dollar means that American goods will be relatively cheaper in the global market and we can export more.

I have no idea why you believe the Chinese wouldn't by more U.S. bonds if the value of the dollar is falling. From their perspective, they would be able to buy bonds more cheaply than when the dollar was strong.

I don't think we are seeing the beginning of the end, even though Greenspan predicted a recession. All economies, including ours, have always experienced oscillations. We have had periods of recession and inflation in the past and we will continue to experience in the future. There are many, many problems with the American economy, but it is still one of the most stable economies in the world and for the foreseeable future it will remain the world's benchmark.

Hey there,
I've been trading the market for just a few months. My cousin actually told me about this website ( http://pennystocks.toptips.org ) and I signed up immediately after. This is my honest review about their method. I'm not someone who has a lot of time to be researching for ideas because I work many hours. they made it incredibly easy for me to make money in the market. Their reports are easy to read and follow. I've tracked most of the stock ideas that I've received in my e-mail from them and MANY have seen some nice gains after their announcements. I've made a nice profit (55% return on my investment on one, and 112% on the other!) on a couple of suggestions he's given and plan to start trading his ideas a lot more.

This was not a 'crash'. According to news reports this was the 128th time the market has dropped like this in the last 100 years! The market goes up ... the market goes down. Over the long-term ... the market goes up.

Nothing to even blink about. The world has been on the brink of oblivion for centuries. And a lot worse has happened than today.
Don't be a doomsayer. Be positive and do better!
