get the 3.4 one because they both are powerfull (not the same strength but eiter are powerfull enough for pretty much anythin) and which ever you use its pretty much the same except that windows got a lot more apps you can choose.

Though I would ALWAYS choose a Core 2 Duo over a Pentium 4, you're talking about a Mac, so I'd get the Pentium 4.

Intel middle 2 Duo by utilising some distance. Its extra modern, quicker technologies. the cost of the processor isnt the sole ingredient to look at for a cpu's overall performance. working example, my households laptop has a three.3ghz pentium D that runs alot slower than my desktops 2.6ghz middle 2 duo. Pentium D makes use of an old shape that's plenty slower than the c2d. desire this helps.

Go for the Duo processor because they way out perform the single cores. I have a 1.6ghz duel core and love it i would never go back to a single core again.

i'd choose a dell e 1505 or 1705. they run about 800 and are better and faster then either. you can get vista and they are duo core. call dell or visit their website fro specs on all their laps. also, know in advance what you need, not what they recommend where software is involved. don't get wieghted down with unnecessary software you may not need.

buy the 3.4 ghz. Single processor is better than duo, plus bigger RAM.
