For example "I want you to know that you are so cute when you don't get your way," or "I appreciate that you worked two jobs so that I could go to college."

What would you tell them?

I like your question... It's food for thought!

Tell my daughter how very proud I am of her.
When I was a child, I was always told what I was doing wrong, If I got a C on my report card I was chastised for it, but never heard a good word for any A's and B's. It was like that with everything and anything.
Most people are so eager to tell someone what they have done wrong, how about lifting someones spirits for a job well done?

I've learned not to wait to tell anyone how I feel. (after I lost my mom, I realized I did tell her a lot, but not enough) As a matter of fact it was just yesterday I told my daughter that I not only think she is a beautiful girl, but that she is smart, kind and loving. I think everyone needs and should hear the good qualities we feel and think about them and let them know they are appreciated. It certainly would be nice if it came around more :)

Whatever I told them already or whatever I am going to tell them in the future. I don't reherse or hold back what I have to say. Step up to the plate when you are supposed to and you won't have to reserve anything in a cowardly and timid manner.

I would tell my babies father that took off, that i always thought he was a nice person and that I don't hold hard feelings. That she is doing well and that I still think good thoughts of him and don't tell my daughter negative things about him. That we are ok, SHE is ok and that I know he must have had some reasons for taking off.... but it's ok. We forgive him. I forgive him.

I'd tell my grandmother how much I admired her and that I would have enjoyed being her girlfriend during the years when she was my age.
-Probably not the answer you were looking for, but it's what came to mind.
