life is always a risk. try to get out of your shell, make friends, open your world and broaden your mind. it doesnt hurt if you make friends with people you dont know. dont make your being an only child a reason to be anti- social. But first your should be confident and courageous enough.

I;m pretty sure there are lots of people around you who wants to be your friend! I'd be happy to be one!!!

Good luck friend!

I'm an only child... it is a little different I suppose but once you make these friends some of them may become like sistas or brothers to you, and you trust and become close to people.

Friends have to earn your trust one at a time. Ever hear of TMI ( too much info) leave your personal info to yourself. The less personal info people know, the less you have to trust them with.

your condition is hilarious!!! how can you be exposed to people if you dont get near them... in your case, it is impossible that you will found a real friend. try first to see the world, compare the people that cross your path and by then, you are ready to enter a relationship-frienship through choosing the one who jives with your life and could possibly be there always!!!

Nothing to do with being an only child.

Look for another person cowering in the corner. She's is desparate to be your friend.
