Driverguide.com Just search for your driver, it's on there. You have to register before downloading, but it's a good site. I've downloaded many a driver from them.
You can also get one off the website from your laptop manufacturer.

go to the intel website. it shopuld do a scan and tell you what drivers you need. i had a similar problem and found my driver was entirely different than i thought.
you may need the motherboard drivers and sound card drivers. if you know the number of the motherboard, use a ggogle search and it will tell you what you need. or even better, go to belarc.com and run the belarc advisor. it will tell you everything about your hardware and software. i showed an ac97 controller on my hardware list, but i had a motherboard that DID NOT use an ac 97 controller. once i had the new motherboard drivers, and the sound card drivers, my problem was solved and the ac97 contoller listing disappeared totally. it's BELARC.com run the advisor and find out exactly what you have.
you can then get the updated drivers for the motherboard and the sound card.

ac'97's can be a real pain, theres at least 2 different drivers that read ac97, and also a completely different one thats from realtek.
If this is a proprietary machine like emachine, or HP i'd look for serial number from back of case and get driver from the manufacturers site. If not possible you may have to download all 3 and hit or miss, be aware that you may lock the machine up with wrong driver and will need to reboot in "safe mode" to uninstall.

Im confident you can get the driver on the website of your mother board manufacturer...
However, you should be able to use this one as well:
