Wouldn't you think most peoples "utimate goal" would be to better mankind, if only in some small, seemingly unimportant way ? EG: a stone lying on a sidewalk, push it off the sidewalk to prevent someone from tripping on it, or leave it there, not caring what may happen.. Insignificant ? No, not really.. Hopefully someone made an improvement in themself by pushing the stone aside.. That in turn made a tiny improvement in mankind that multiplies itself many times over, the "ripple effect" if you will.. We as mankind, are all we are, until proven otherwise.. Only a madman would believe we are "alone" given the odds against it.. unfortunately, until the battlestar " Galactica " settles into orbit around earth and / or our "lost" brethren become known to us through some other method, shouldn't our ultimate goal be to ensure the survival of our species ?
Otherwise, what's the sense ? Why are we here ? To do what, where, when ? Just to " BE " ? Just to exist like an enormous science project conducted by our creator(s) ? I think not ! Mankind was created for a purpose, a purpose that right now is in it's infancy.. If mankind doesn't pull its' collective head out of its' collective ***, and soon and start concentrating on the good for all, I fear all we're going to hear from St. Peter once we enter our final reward is " Damn !! HE had such high hopes for you, and you failed HIM ! Straight ahead to heavens waste treatment plant, that's where the human race will work for eternity!! " Ultimate goal ? We are the human race !! Hear us ROAR !!

Non of the above given answers, but first we have to understand that a human body is 3 parts in one:
Mind, Body and Soul. The mind to help the body find food and shelter and the body to carry the IMMORTAL SOUL through this life. At the end the Soul is judged and when it is found pure enough it can stop reincarnating.
However when it is not pure enough it is given another chance to make up for error in that past life.
We have to understand that the Souls is in fact a part of GOD and all Souls of all people together is GOD.
That is why this teacher 2000 years ago tried to bring humanity the message: LOVE THEY NEIGHBORS.
Christianity in their financial greed made it impossible for the masses to understand this and converted the: Mind, Body and Soul idea into Father, Son and Spirit. They also managed to convert the sermon on the mound for their own purpose, while Jesus talked about 2 fishes, 5 loaves of bread and 12 baskets leftovers.
Which in fact was: Yin/Yang, the 5 elements: Earth, Water, Wood, Fire and Minerals or in human language: Sugar, Water, Carbohydrates, Fat and Protein. And the 12 organ systems in the human body.
The fake christian religion create by Emperor Constantine in 325 is the real cause of all this misconception.

g!
i think the ultimate goal in life is to do what you love na dto live with no regrets.

for example. someone who loved baseball should make they're ultimte goal in life baseball. they should do anything and everything within they're power to excell and succeed at baseball. but someone who loved cooking shouldn't give a damn about baseball unless there's nothing better on tv. someone who loves cooking should be constantly in the kitchen getting better and better at cooking. memorizing recipies, getting tips from friends, anything and everything to help them be the best cook possible.

if you were for some reason very passionate with having a "normal" family, then i would definetally tell you to pick "b". and spend your years looking for mr. right and raising the most angelic children possible. if that's what you really really without a doubt want to do with your life then by all means, i say do it.

it depends on the person, i think the most important thing in life is not regreting anything you've ever done. you're going to make mistakes, and your going to miss out on good opurtunities. but if you try your hardest you'll always be able to say "at least i tried my hardest" and make yourself feel a little better.

World domination.

Anything less is assuming that no one will say world domination and make it impossible for you to achieve your goal in life because I would tke that away from you in my pursuit of world domination. You can try and work around it but ultimate greed trumps everything.

A) wealth & power because many people see me as weak because I have a mental illness, & I want to prove to them that I'm stronger & more powerful. I would like to be wealthy because I'm poor & struggling for survival by being on a fixed income.

The ultimate goal in life is G to be content with life... everybody has something(s) they care about more than anything else.... life is about fulfilling one's dreams and goals

G. None of the above.

The reason is that life has no meaning. If we all lived in the trees still, human life would still have the same value and purpose... nothing. It's irrelevant if I "become enlightened" become wealthy, etc... b/c dead is dead. No memories, regrets, nothing. Dead.

gonna have to go with B- though I think normal is boring. :) but all in all, i think my ultimate goal in life is just to love- God, people, the earth- i know that might sound cheesy, but that's really all i want to do...and that's my ultimate goal. but my family always is a top priority!

Why are you assuming that there is a goal that needs to be reached in life? You may first need to ask, "Is there an ultimate goal in life?"
