Support for up to 8GB of DDR2-533, DDR2-667 or DDR2-800MHz memory, with additional support for NVIDIA SLI-Ready Memory up to 1200MHz.

Means your motherboard supports high end ram so go with 4 GB DDR2-800Mhz if you want to go nice and crazy lol.

Hope this helps.

Well the best ram is what ever the mother board recommends ..if it's a new board then it will probalby require DDR2 Ram.or the new DDR3..the company i deal with is AZENRAM i have never had any problems with this ram ..and i am a seriously devoted ASUS mother board man..Also most new puter come with dual processor and for example if you put in 1gig of ram then what happpens is that the two processors share this ram so in reality you only end up with 512 per processor and if you have onboard video it also will share in this ram so my recomendations to you is to get 1gig OR MORE per processor that way you'll have the full potencial of your computer and also make sure you get the right speed of ram..my new computer uses DDR2but @667ghz ..some do come in 533 so my moto is don't skimp out and get the best ...in the long run you end up with a computer that is reliable and will be problem free for a long time..so have fun my friend..and please refer to the tech sheet that came with you ASUS board to get the proper parts recomended by the manufacture..

You have to read the motherboard Users Guide or look up the specifications for that motherboard in order to determine the type of RAM.
Don.t guess, and, unless someone in this forum has the same motherboard as you, you should call into question any answerer's that you might get!

What you are going to use the computer for is not the issue! The issue is the type of RAM the board will accept!

Well, choosing ram depends on how your going to use the computer. Computers with vista usually start with 1GB, which is the default for most word processing, internet surfing, e-mail etc. But if you are going to edit video's, photoshop, multi-task or play the high-end games, you should get 2GB or more

Stick with the higher end corsair.
Asus boards love corsair, OCZ, patriot, Crucial and PQI mem...

Depending on your budget I would hit up for 2x1GB of mem..

well PC industry always changes, there are always new technologies... my recommendation is Go for a DDR2 ram or if your motherboard and budget supports go for a DDR3/FBDIMM memory.
DDR3 is the next gen memory module
good luck

Well, a quick search through Amazon.com for your motherboard, it seems that Corsair memory would work nicely. 2Gb for 250$, not too bad either.

Hope that helps.
