Are there any attempts to domesticate new animals recently?

I was just reading about the tame silver foxes bred in Russia, and was wondering if there are any other attempts to tame animals since? Humans throughout their existence, tried to tame animals.

Even though, it is true that not all animals can become completely tame (applies to certain humans as well), it is considered that a hand-reared animal tends to be more cooperative than the one caught from the jungle (brought up by its biological parents.)
