Messerchmit was known for their great fighter airplanes such as
Me -109, Me -110 and the first fighter jet that Me-262.But just waht happened to them?Unlike Boeing, Northrop, MiG, Dornier, Grumman,Mitsubishi and others who were involved during the lengthy war most of them survived and you can still see their products today.Just what happened to them?I assumed because of their involvement in the war on the Nazi German side this served as their punishment.Or maybe they were bankcrupt or something. Can someone please tell me what actually happened?

In anycase Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB) was a famous German aircraft manufacturer, known primarily for its World War II fighter aircraft, notably the Bf 109 and Me 262. The company survived in the post-war era, undergoing a number of mergers and changing its name from Messerschmitt before being bought by DASA in 1989.

As to Heinkel:
Ernst Heinkel died in Stuttgart in 1958. His company remained alive for a few more years before it merged with a large corporate association, VFW, in 1965. This merger erased the corporate name of Heinkel, which had first entered the industry some 42 years earlier. Still, as a division of VFW, it has continued to prosper.

I remember in the 1950s they used to make small three wheeler cars but I don't know what happened to them after that.
