the girls club tends to send a signal that something is amis. school counselors usually see kids one at a time for privacy reasons, in case the child has something that needs to be said. I just don't think there is enough information within your question to assess the authenticity of the situation.

When I was teaching elem school, our school counselor could talk to a child once without parent permission, but I think maybe the child had to make the request. There are some legal issues you can check out with the school district.

uh....sounds like pretty normal questions to me. "hey, how are your parents? doing good? how are things at home? ok?" that's a counselor's JOB. i doubt it sounds as devious and terrible as you are thinking. just sounds normal to me. i ask my kids stuff like that everyday! i don't do it expecting to hear, "oh my dad beats me" or something. it's just a question to let the kid know i'm interested in them and they can talk to me.

WELL, BY THE WAY YOU ARE ASKING IT SOUDS KIND OF BAD....HOWEVER, IT MIGHT NOT BE THAT BAD IF THE GIRLS ARE ASKED REGULAR THINGS FOR EXAMPLE, ABOUT WHAT THEIR MOM COOKS, WHERE SHE MIGHT WORK, BUT IF IT GOES BEYOND HEALTHY QUESTIONS....THAT SHOULD BE STOPED....
