Ah, many times and I'm sure there's a few more lurking out there. It's life's way of making us stronger*
~~ I had to add after I read others posts ~~
I agree that some of us get into ruts because of our own doings such as routine and or some get the I don't care attitude etc... It's not always the case. Sometimes life throws that curve ball. Sometimes we think we have the ability to keep ourselves up, then another ball is thrown. If it becomes redundant where you don't have control over it, you can very well end up in a rut. Unfortunate, but so true.
We still need to try to keep that chin up*

I am in a rut. It's not that I don't appreciate a certain amount of routine. Routine brings order and without order chaos will ensue and anarchy will reign. Do I sometimes hate the routine and the rut it brings? Sometimes I do. It's the rut that inspires major life changes: Divorce. Job and career changes. Buying expensive sports cars and trolling junior colleges for budding dental hygenists. Being in a rut isn't necessarily bad. You see the ruts so you can more easily claw your way out. Life is what you make it. Anything you can imagine in the deepest recesses of your heart is attainable. What is it you desire?

Life is but one big rut. But its a rut that you can explore and rid of. Think and Be blessfull for the life you have and if your bored why not spice it up a litle bit get out and have some fun. Dont put yourself in a position when your thinking your a failure because you certainly are not.
hope i helped

I think that happens to all of us, and the worst thing is that it's our own fault - we allow ourselves to fall into routines and ruts because we choose the easier paths rather than take any risks. When I begin to feel that way, I know it's time for me to make some changes in my life - including changes that I really don't want to make - and challenge myself a little more.

All the time. A couple of weeks ago I was diagnosed with a genetic disorder that means I will most likely die before I ever get to be a senior. Lemme tell ya, thats some motivation to make some changes.

life puts you into ruts when you are needing to learn and grow from looking at your present situation. what do you think you need to change, what do you need to learn about yourself? we would never reach for the brass ring if not for the ruts in life....be thankful for them.

yeah and to get out of it you have to clean your house and rearrange the furniture, get active, change your schedule, have good habits, and go for a 15-30 minutes jog every morning.
you just have to WANT to get out in order to get out.
goodluck it worked for me
