I think that women and men both equally contribute...

Looking back in time during the caveman era, I would have to say both had equally important roles.

The man being the hunter and the woman being the gatherer. In today's society, I still think it does ring true to some extent.

In my situation, my guy goes out and earns the money (he's the hunter) whilst I am the stay-at-home wife (the gatherer).

Does that make any sense? Anyway, men and women will always need each other to survive for reasons other than procreation which is the obvious reason of all.

Just my thoughts on this. :-)

By the way, I read your profile.....you sound like a very interesting person.

Very good question, both from interest view but functionatic....I answered it before in a different from....but it was a different question from someone else, so here is yours.....

Men have more muscles, bigger muscles, bigger frames, for doing heavier work, for either contracting types, building homes, or utilitarian types, fixing things that need fixing. Men also have a more aggressive personallity, especially in different cultures, that lead to more aggressive leadership. Blame upbringing or hormones, men are more aggressive.

Women are mature earlier, giving us an advantage in today's society or harm less, help more. We develop faster both emotionally and mentally, (whether it is the same as the male as a game, like chess, go back to the aggression level of men.....) Women also have a deeper impact on emotional changes, like when a child comes into puberty, or when those big strong men will do anything we ask.....etc.

Who really holds the power is so debateble, but women seem to have the edge right now since the senseless fighting for a damsel is not in our society right now, but the willingness to get a task done.

Men are more aggressive, as women are more submissive by nature. This is in a woman's favor right now as they are the ones moving up the corporate chains and holding the titles to company ownerships, as more and more males are just owners just by birthname.

I like to consider men and women as equal, but each sex, or better yet, each individual has their own strengths and weaknesses.....

It would depend on which society and personality of the man or woman of how they were raised.
HOwever here's an example a friend of mine suggested.
IF there were 50 men and 1 woman. Survival process would be slow and extrememly hard since women can only give birth one at a time.
But if there were 50 women and 1 man, the man can reproduce with many women at once and the process is much quicker.

So think about that.

Genetically both M & F contribute equally
Physically F are the only sex capable of gestating the fetus
M are generally stronger, however with technology all things are possible to F
Creatively both M & F contribute equally
War tends to be instigated by M

The other sex is the other half of the sky...cheers

Men and women both play equally important roles, while very different. Men were made to be physically stronger and women are made to be able to be emotionally stronger. Women are obviously the child bearers and that is necessary for the species to continue. Men are physically stronger so they build, hunt, and prtotect the women and children. Men and women were made to be partners. It's pretty obvious.

Since both are required for the survival of the species, I figure both have an equal roles. Man protects and defends, woman nurtures and renews the species. Both roles are important, valid, and necessary.

You have to have both man and woman as neither is capable of reproducing on their own. That being said, after conception, the male is not a necessity. We help provide for and protect the woman and child, but except for right after birth, a woman is just as capable of most things as a man. At the same time you could say that either sex is capable of caring for the child once it's born.

Mentally, women. Women are much more efficient with pyschological wars.

Physically, deffinately men. The way our bodies work is much different than a women's. Therefore we're aloud to go in infantry during war, women can't.

But without any of us two, human beings can't live on. We need each other.

I would say that men have contributed more to the survival of the human race, and advancements, but only because women dind't have a lot of rights in the past. If it had been the other way around, women would be dominant. *shudder* no offense

Equal contribution. Survival of the species requires a man's sperm & a woman's womb.
