My tongue has a white coat on it and I feel like I have cotton in my mouth. I am assuming this is candida - does this mean it is in my intestines as well? I have been fatigued lately as well adn depressed. I haven't had this before, nor do I ever get yeast infections. Will antifungul medicine help or does this require more intense treatment. I don't get it - I exercise and eat well....why would I get this? Can it happen to anybody? Thanks

If you've recently taken antibiotics, I would replenish your system with yogurt. A good anti bacterial is oil of oregano, just a few drops a day should kill of any offenders.

you can go to a local health store and purchase a candida cleanse kit. If you want to try and completely get rid of all candida in your body, you must alter your diet for at least a couple weeks. No bread or sugars at all. I couldn't do it. I lack will power....ha ha! I just took a lot of probiotics over a month. 3x per day. I also took grapefruit seed extract between meals with water. 2x per day. It seemed to help. Here's a link with candida symptoms as well as treatment options and a candida diet.

I dunno, I don't think its candida. Sounds more like Vitamin B2 deficiency to me. When your diet is lacking in Vitamin B2 rich foods - milk, liver, kidney, cheese, leafy green vegies, fish, eggs, yoghyrt and beans and peas and lentils, you will get the symptoms you have just described. ie:- Sore mouth, raw and white coated tonue, cracked lips. B2 will aid in growth and reproduction, promote healthy skin, nails and hair. It will also benefit vision and alleviate eye fatigue.

Fatigue and depression sounds like a deficiency in Vitamin B12. B12 is not absorbed well through the stomach, so is better taken in a multivitamin B complex tablet. By ensuring you are getting the correct recommended daily intake of B12 you will have increased energy, it will relieve irritability and depression, improve your concentration, memory and balance.

Recommended adult daily dose for B12 is 2 mcg and B2 is 1.2 - 1.7mg. Just take yourself off to the local chemist and ask the pharmacist to recommend a good quality Vitamin B complex supplement for you to take to cover all your B vitamins.

If you are a vegetarian and have exluded eggs and dairy products from your diet, then you need B12 supplementation.

GOOD LUCK

Go get the book The Yeast Syndrome by John Parks Trowbridge, MD - and read that. He is one of the world's foremost Candida researchers (and my ex). You will be able to assess your condition better, and know what competent treatment and self-care will be like.

Systemic yeast will require antifungal treatment and dietary restriction if it is a chronic condition.

Usually it occurs as a reaction to antibiotics you are taking. See a dr. and he will prescribe some medication, and you will be fine....
