I spend very little on clothes, and the closest I've come to buying designer clothes was when I had my wedding dress made based on a designer dress. (saved about $3,000)
For a new winter coat I have spent $150, and I won't pay more than $20 for jeans or sweaters.

I only shop the clearance rack and would never buy designer clothes. It cost nothing to make those clothes and I'll be darn if I am going to pay an arm and a leg to buy them. It's not how much you spend on clothes...it's how you wear them.

I'm happy with jeans and not necessarily designer clothes. But i would spend a good amount of money specific types of clothes and gear for outdoor activities, because i will be thrashing them, and they need to last.

I can hit the clearance rack at a department store like Sears, Carsons, Macy's or Kohls and pay half the price for a pair of name brand jeans that I would pay at kmart for those crappy wrangler or riders jeans.
U gotta know how to shop and u can get some really upscale stuff cheaper than Kmart, Walmart or Target.

i would spend a fair amount of money on clothes, but knowing that they would last for some time, my levis are like brand new and most of my other clothes gets worn off quicker, so i kinda stick with tha brandes that last and that i like

Yes, if it was worth the quality and look, yes I would spend the retail price for it. I love clothes, handbags, shoes, especially high quality merchandise.
