I can't decide if I'm asexual or not. I'm leaning towards no, but... basically, I'm just a normal (''normal'') person...I have no interest in the same sex and am only attracted to the opposite sex. I very rarely find a member of the opposite sex attractive, but on rare occasion I do. I never really think about sex, or, seldom I should say. When I do, its usually about its meaning and such. I never look at girls and think "oh, I'd totally do her" or anything like that. Whenever girls I've dated in the past have wanted to have a physical relationship, I'm uninterested and would rather talk and learn more about them. I do have the biological urge to have sexual intercourse and on occasion I do feel it surface, but me as a person, is uninterested for the most part. Do I just have a low 'sex drive' or am I asexual?

Like...I guess I can put it this way. If I was married, I'm sure I would enjoy having sexual intercourse with my wife very much. But I doubt I'd ever think about it, and would probably do so very seldom.

Some people truly do not think about sex much. You can find a person to marry who is the same. There are a lot out there.
A lot of people who feel like you do hide it because of what is expected of them now days. We are really more open to talking about sex than in the old days so there is more pressure to be doing it.
There is a possability that you might be lacking the male sex hormone Testosterone. Males and female have that. If that is the case the doctor can give you hormone replacement for that.
It could be that you have emotional problems from being abused as a youngster. If it is none of those things then relax. Find someone with a lower sex drive the same as yours and be happy together. ...
p.s if you get stupid answers on here please ignore them. Just go to your doctor and have a chat. a simple blood test will tell if your lacking hormones.
Be happy and good luck.

I think if this really concerns you you should share it with a competent counselor.
I don't know if you are asexual. I have a friend who says she is and I respect that. You may simply not be interested in sex outside of marriage, as you said. There is nothing wrong with that. We focus too much on the sex act anyway.
Get a physical. Be sure and have you testosterone levels tested. Low testosterone has other health repercussions than lowered sex drive.
Good luck.

you sound like me. i am not sexually attracted to people just based on looks. i crave love, i crave a serious relationship, i crave serious intimacy on a communication level, i want trust, respect, etc.

however, in terms of sex drive, i masturbate all the time.. guess that's the question i need to ask you in order to give you a good assessment..

if you don't like to masturbate and have no desire to orgasm, whether it be alone or with a woman, then you may be asexual..

try not to think about sex. just focus on making friends and dating and wait to see if strong feelings develop. not everyone feels comfortable getting sexual on a casual basis..

some people naturally are asexual. its a unique sexual orientation. im gay, and when i talk to peoplel i find they're a lot more tolerant of gays and lesbians than of asexuals because they think its 'just weird'

you have to decide for yourself, i think youre probably asexual and hetereoromantic.

Let me guess, you also have little body and facial hair, right?

Probably that's due to lack of male hormones in your organism. That can be cured by taking special medicine.

its all about hormones....wait till they go crazy...then you would be in trouble....youre not asexual...it just depends on the environment you were brought up in and/or your body....
