Congrats! You sound excited! :)

Typically showers are thrown for the mom in the last trimester. All 3 of mine were in my 7th, almost 8th month. This way you have your own time to accumulate items you want/need, pick a theme for your baby's room, maybe even know what the sex is.

Stock up on diapers now. :) I did this with all 3 kids and it helped SO much! Each time I went to the grocery store or Target, I would pick up a package of newborn or size 1 diapers.

Please, please, please ask your doctor to give you the number of your hospital and get involved in a prep course. Then later, you can take a birthing class, too. The more informed you are ahead of time, the better. There are several amazing websites out there, too. I like www.epregnancy.com and www.babycenter.com.

If you join epregnancy, I could (along with hundreds of others) give you some great advice. Good Luck!!

It depends, ny niece saw a formed baby even the fingers. But it depends on the size of the baby and the actual date that you are due. Sometimes a due date can be wrong and you go in thinking that you are further along then you actually are. Have fun with it and relax. As for the baby shower i think that i would be best to wait till about one month before the baby is born.

Whoever does the ultrasound will probably be happy to point out exactly what you are looking at, at 8 weeks its still just a tiny little thing but you can see little arm and leg buds and so on. Its cute!

Looks a little like a lima bean, LOL!! But I'm sure you'll see the lil one's heartbeat and things like that!!! Pretty uninteresting, but trust me it will get there, after a few months they will amaze you!! I am 19 and mother of twin angels in heaven. My husband and I are trying for another baby so wish us luck, and the best of luck to you!!

The baby is still very tiny but you should see a heart beat by now. Good luck!

first congrats. and second why r they giving u ultrasounds this early?PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH HOW MANY ULTRASOUNDS THEY GIVE YOU...my sister in law told me that when they give you ultrasounds that the gel and the doppler they use is heat activated which can burn the baby even though you dont feel like its hot...just check with your dr. about this please for the safety of your unborn child...mother of a 4 yr. old boy and pg. w/twin girls now...god bless...
