K, so I'm a bit of an in-betweener. I've lived in Europe and in America, and one of my parents is English.
The thing is Americans think all English people have the same posh accent that nobody uses. That they all eat crumpets, have tea time and are serious.
And I want to clear a few things:
1) Most Brits speak "commonly." Aka not the "hot" accent that Hugh Grant uses (fake btw) in his movies.
2) Most Brits are hilariously facetious and are not serious. They are more laid back than Americans in this sense.
3) Ok fine, Brits do have bad teeth....
4) Ok yes, they are alcoholics, by American standards anyway.
5) They don't have "tea time" or eat crumpets. Although they do drink a lot of tea.
6) More Brits live in council housing than in rich Westminster. Aka not all royalty.
7) Not all Brits know Prince William by name or have met him in person.
Glad to clear a few things up.
