a couple years ago. I got the amd 64 bit processor (2.2 ghz) with 2000 mhz front side bus, 1 gb of ram, 250 gb hard drive, windows xp media center edition, lightscribe dvd burner. I should be good for awhile.

I got a new one in March of last year. My sister and my parents went in on it. They knew my old Windows 98 wasn't up to par. It was worse than watching a snail crawl. They knew I couldn't afford to get a new one myself at the time so they got it for me to keep in touch. Not only do I keep in touch, but I can have fun on Yahoo Answers! Woohooooo.....

Hubby bought a Lap Top a month ago, love it. I get to lay on the couch,watch T.V and answer questions all at the same time.....
