Obama is my choice. Race has nothing to do with it, I just like and agree with his views on most issues.

Here the thing, a president should not be elected do to race or gender, and they should not run their campaign around these two things. Why I won't vote for Barrack is he utilized Oprah as a spokesperson due to race. Oprah is entitled to her opinion, but as a well known personality she should of limited her involvement by not playing the race card. Support the issues that we face day to day. Always remember it is never easy to trust a Clinton.

I'd rather have Obama regardless of his race. He's smart, clear minded, and has the ability to build consensus. A lot of Clinton's views do not mesh with my own. Regardless of her gender.

Why not expand the question to include Mormons and Italians?

If you picked any of the two your answer is wrong! It is the person that is important - rather than a caucasian woman or an african-american man.
I would disregard the sex and color and pick the candidate based on how god or bad they are.

to be honest, i haven't heard about what barack obama stands for, but im voting for hilary. maybe because im a woman, but i truly believe hilary is smart, determined, and knows exactly what shes doing. plus, she has bill behind her and he was a great president. i think she is well qualified and has had expierence in this. i believe a lot of people dont think women are capable to be in charge because we are sensitive or we dont work well under pressure, but not all women are like this. i know there are some women that take their power way to seriously and therefore act all anal, and there are those who have no idea wtf they are doing, but not hilary. she is one smart cookie and im excited and looking foward to seeing what she wants to do with us...HILARY 08!!

The president that I vote for will not be determined on either factor.

Barack!! I believe his approach to the issues and his passion is what's needed at this time, for this country. What does race or sex have to do with it? Obviously for you, writing this question had something to do with race and/or sex--how sad for you.

It doesn't matter to me.

But it would be nice to have the first African American President.

To get rid of the negativity in our black community... that
a black man can't do this or that.

Obama would be boring. HIllary would be interesting. I know of no other criteria for choosing a political misleader.
