well Im 17 years old, and I will be starting college by this fall semester. I'll be moving to texas. I currently live in florida. My boyfriend lives there as well as many of my friends.
My mom will be sending me around $500. And Ill be paying a $400 rent. Im obviously going to work too. What do you think about this? everyones saying I'll want to come back. Do u think I can make it on my own?

The thing about being an adult is you never really know how things will turn out...Trust me it gets worse as you get older....You have to take big chances somtimes...for your own best interest or otherwise you will have to just accept nothingness!!!
But yes you will be fine...and if not then atleast you will have had this adventure...and what a great story it will be either way...Take the adventure...I mean your being mature by choosing to go to college and be a individual....Im proud of you and I don't even know you---Good Luck!!!

I moved out at 17 with some roommates, finished school, worked, did just fine. You may want to come home from time to time, but it's part of growing up. Make new friends, have fun, and work hard. TX and FL arent that far apart. I was in the military and was across the ocean from my family. you can always go to FL for spring break if you get homesick. I'm sure your friends would love to make a road trip out of it. Don't party too hard and fail out.

this is an awesome opportunity for you to proove to yourself in your life that you are self relient. It will grow you and help you in your relationships with dating and marrage. give it all you got and don't except failure. Be strong. You are an adult as you move out and make wise choices with money, friends, and sexual activity. don't think somethings will never happen to you. life is a bumpy road, enjoy the ride.

It will be hard at first but if you have your boyfriend and friends at least you will have support. I moved from Pa to Nc at age 21 did fine. Good luck to you
