Yes family influences and personal experiences with certain groups that just makes me so mad. I have no problem being racist towards them if they deserve it. It's like a wake up call to clean themselves up. My friends do it too, it's no big deal. If they have good morals, if they are good citizens then I am actually kind to them. They are productive members of society and should be treated with respect. But it's the others that gets me.

I believe a lot of it is upbringing, but once you get old enough to understand things on your own, then I think if you see and deal with enough BS from certain groups you tend to develop the feelings of hate. My father was very racist, and pounded the N word into my head over and over. I didn't really understand what he was talking about nor did I care when I was like 11-12-13. My mom never vocalized her hatred, but as I get older it's something more and more I see. I think dealing with the idiots and working at a place that pretty much caters to minorities has shaped my way of thinking. I do think though that a lot of the stuff I heard from my father has an unconscious affect. I have very little tolerance for minorities. I don't like the way they accuse everyone of being racist if they don't get what they want. I don't like the way a lot of them use the system while they are making money on the side, I don't like the way they have to have this overly thuggish lifestyle. I've met a lot of very well educated and work driven minorities and I have no problem with the ones that raise their children with values, and a proper education, and the ones that don't blame everyone else for living in poverty. But I do have a problem with the ones that still act like we own them something. Because we don't.

Racist people are ignorant, self rightioues idiots who were most likely brought up that way. They don't think for themselves and because of that, they will continue to be racist. They claim to know all there is to know about their targeted race group but, if they took the time to get up off their a $ $ and learn the real truth, the would be in for a rude awakening.

I think it is almost entirely family influences. After all you are a product of your environment to a large degree, so if you are raised racist then you will most likely be racist.

Preference for one's own ethnic group (ethnocentrism), fear of foreigners (xenophobia), views against interracial relationships (miscegenation), and/or generalizations about a specific group of people (steroetyping).
