in most cases no, an extended warranty usually only covers labor. In the long run you usually pay more for the warranty than you would just paying labor. Not to mention than the warranty is only good at the dealership. Most repairs and another facility will be cheaper for both parts and installation then just paying for parts at the dealership.

If it were a Ford or Chrysler, I would say get the warranty.
You would probably have to get a lawyer to read all the fine print in that warranty to actually know what is covered. There could be exclusions on some parts, and deductibles to pay.
For this car, put that money in an account to handle anything that may come up, but I doubt that will happen if you change fluids and filters regularly.

im a mechanic and i got boned with a used car ex warranty.
that which is covered is not covered because its not the auto manufacturer who warranties the car but a godless souless insurance company who takes the money and runs every time.
i have had to fix engines where the insurer would only warrenty one piston instead of a whole overhual. im a master mechanic so i knows about both sides of this thing
in the end the service you get is not what you paid for, either you buy a new car with full warranty or you find a good mechanic and pay him, there is no extended warranty that is worth the money you pay (even if it was free)
godless souless cardealers just invented this insurance to beat unsuspecting public(you) in to coughing up more hard earned cash
peace out

Mazdas are great, but you can't beat that type of coverage for an additional 75K miles.
It's good insurance if you need it, its good insurance. I've bought warrantees on every vehicle I've every purchased, and I've at least broken even of covered repairs on all but the one I currently own.
I paid $1800 for my warrantee and I think I only had about $600 in covered repairs. I paid $800 for the warranty on my 94 Ford Ranger and had nearly $7000 in repairs over 110K miles.
Get the warranty. You'll be kicking yourself in the butt if there is a major repair and you don't.

i own a repair shop, and i can tell you from experience that your not going to be able to justify paying for the warranty, and even if you do buy it when it comes right down to it,they always seem to be able to wiggle out of it somehow,or they,ll only pay half, i have to deal with people all the time that get stuck with the pain of of realizing the warranty they thought they had isn't worth that much,so really id save my money, and if the vehicle breaks, just pay the bill, sometimes they,ll actually pay off on them, but they always seem to figure a way out of paying it all,to me it isn't worth it,good luck i hope this help,s.
