Traditionally, you are supossed to leave just a penny for the tip. If you have ever waitressed with old-school waitresses, they will tell you that this is the Universal Bad Waitress/Waiter Sign. Unfortunately most people these days don't know that so it kind of defeats the purpose, so instead you could just spit in her face as you walk out or find her car and slash her tires!

I either leave them a penny,or I'll write on a napkin,"Never eat yellow snow",or,"Never look directly into the sun light".Either way,I've left a tip and gotten my message across.I also won't go back to an establishment with bad service, plenty of good hard working waitresses at other places.....I always tip good for good service though.

haha we used to bypass to eating places and positioned 5 money according to individual down on the table for the servers tip. Everytime the server didnt do something or became impolite we would each and every take off a greenback from the stack. The servers that have been good made alot of money off human beings. The crappy ones nevertheless have been given a pair of greenbacks. sometimes we would in basic terms provide the top to the busboy if he became doing all the artwork. If made it exciting for us and the server.

i either ignore the rudeness or suck up to them...

i used to return the rudeness right back and then some, but then i saw that movie 'Waiting' where they put nasty stuff on the food of the rude customer, so now any time there is a problem, thats what plays in my head and i am on my best behavior..

if you havent seen that movie yet, you should see it, its so funny!!

I leave them this good tip all the time. Also make the wife as happy as the husband or I say one good turn you get all the covers, next time you might get money, work on your skills.

I don't leave a tip, generally. Once I left a few pennies with a note that said, "This tip is like your service. Lousy".

I hate going out for a meal and having to deal with "attitude". I give it right back to them, and I am not shy at all about either leaving or asking for another server.
