If you had the money, and were asked by the Crown, or Judge to pay $10,000 to set a loved one (ie son/daughter, husband/wife, mother/father, brother/sister, uncle/aunt etc.) free, would you pay it? This is if the person is known guilty of a SERIOUS crime (ie rape, murder, fraud, etc.)

You never really know..what you would do..until the moment of truth came crashing down on you..These people are not strangers on the street..yet the people you love and care about..they are your life..your love..your loyalty..so apart of me would want to pay the money..set them free..Yet the other part of me..would not want to pay the money to set them free..because apparently there is something seriously wrong with this person..not only would they be a danger to society..yet a danger to their self..as much as I would love this person..as much as it would break my heart..hurt me..I would not pay the money..set them free..because I would never be able to live with myself..if I helped release them..only for them to rape..murder..etc..again

It is a hard question but no i would not if it was a serious like rape or murder. I just would not want that on my conscience knowing that I had some part in setting them free and they do it again.

No. I was raped, and I would certainly hope that nobody would ever pay the money to set him free once he gets put in jail. It doesn't matter if your family is rich or poor, and your family shouldn't pay to get you out of a situation that you got your ownself into. It's not right. And to pay it would make it seem like you agree with whatever crime that person did commit. Almost like a reward. And we all know that it isn't right to reward someone when they do something horrible and heinous like murder or rape.

Assuming we know theyre guilty - I would get my family out, but I would make sure that they go straight into a treatment facility. I'm not for jail - it doesnt rehabilitate, just makes it worse. That goes for anybody, though.

If I cant get them into rehab, they stay in jail.
