On megaman battle network 3, how do you burn the trees using energy charge? I use the a button but nothing!?

You have GOT to help me. It says press 'a' but nothing happens :(. What do I have to do?

you have to have it installed in your navi customizer
have plenty of fire chips

Check your gameboy maybe your buttons are sticking (this happened to my "R" button. If the buttons are fine walk up to the tree and press "A" Make sure you have fire chips.
