A good CPA can make a very good living but he is middle class or upper middle class, not upper class, with respect to his income. There are other factors that determine whether a person is considered middle or upper class, but a CPA does not make enough money to be considered upper class based solely on his income.

It depends on how successful they are and what fields they practice in. I'm a CPA and I would say most of my counterparts are medium class with the capability of being upper middle class.

If you're making anything less than about $350k, you're probably considered middle class.
