I had my first ultrasound at 7 weeks, and there was no baby, only the sac. My doctor said congrats, there it is, and I kept thinking, there what is? I held my breath for 2 weeks, until the ultrasound was repeated, and I finally saw a little peanut. I am now holding my 2 month old baby girl, and she has 10 fingers, 10 toes, and a diva attitude! Congrats on the baby, and take a deep breath. you'll be fine, and so will he/or she

Everything should be fine. Listen to your doctor and wait for the repeat ultrasound.. Only time will tell if there is a baby in there.. Not saying this is your case but my cousin had this happen to her, and it took the doctor about 2 weeks before they noticed there was only a sac, and no baby.. But with her second one same thing started happening and by 8 weeks they finally picked up a heart beat and seen the baby.... Best of Luck. I am sure everything will work out just fine....

I would trust what your doctor says, not Yahoo people. At 6 weeks, for the most part, all you will see on an ultrasound is a sac. They should have been able to at least detect a heartbeat within the sac.
Hang in there and good luck

The first ultrasound I had with our oldest daughter was at 8weeks and all you could see was a tiny little ball with the tiniest little nubbins! I thought she looked like a gummy bear, but it is hard to imagine what a baby would look like at 6 weeks. Just hang in there. Maybe the baby is behind the sac?

this is called a ignored being pregnant or a ignored miscarriage. the toddler would not stay to tell the story exterior the womb and aborts itself. Your physique would not understand this and keeps to hold the toddler, you are going to be able to as nicely carry the toddler finished term, uterus becoming, indications nonetheless happening, and being pregnant assessments nonetheless lighting fixtures up advantageous without even understanding. I had an ultrasound performed at 5 weeks the place they did p.c.. up my toddler's heart beat, at 11.5 weeks my toddler stopped becoming. while i became into 17 weeks I went for an ultrasound and there became into no heartbeat, no warmth on the toddler, and the toddler measured in basic terms 11.5 weeks which potential the toddler had died. there is not any longer plenty you're able to do, in case you haven't any longer began to expel the toddler this is worthwhile to to look right into a D&C. i became into warned of a few nasty infections which could take place if the toddler is in there too long. After 6 weeks i did no longer miscarry and mandatory a D&C to ward off fertility subject concerns down the line. i'm sorry to your loss, i be responsive to this is complicated to pass with the aid of.

for re-assurance, all I can do is re-state to you though I had an ultrasound for one child and freaked on the dr. first because it was internally done.... eeww... second all they saw was a sac and I know they usually see more?
your dr. is re-doing it soon... I would suggest you try your best to not stress on this... stress can do more damage than anything.... so, practice the breathing (a little early) and relax.....
congrats!
good luck

don't worry everything would be fine, just have patience and wait for ur next ultrasound, and as per the visibility the pictures that are shown are enlarged and a special kind of sonography like a colour doppler is preformed for that so don't panic, the baby at this time is just like a head of a pin,so how can that be visible
