I don't see why not. Mabye he's just shy in that area for some reason and hasn't asked you first. I'd say go for it even though it's been a while since i've been in the 8th grade. Things couldn't have changed all that much...

Go for it! This happend to me twice now. The first time it didn't work out, and we just stayed friends, but the second time I had a wonderful four month relationship. And you're not to young! Having a bf can actually relieve stress and help you work as long as you don't obsess over him.

Pleeeaaassseee. I know you dont know me, but please wait to worry about "going out" with someone until you are more mature. There are a lot of things that can happen when you start pursuing relationships of this nature, and it may all seem like it makes sense now; but statistically, it wont make sense in a couple of years. You are too young to think about dating. Pursue grades. That way if you ever find yourself alone in life, you are prepared to take care of yourself financially by making better than average wage.
