I need ideas on what to wear, specifically shirts. And how should I do my make-up? Any ideas welcome. Thanks!!!

Long skirts, granny boots with socks were the trend for women. Usually your top would match your skirt, however women wore a lot of thin material blouses or see through. With the blouse there was usually a tee under the blouse. Women were more modest in the 80"s. Hair was short and curly during that time, makeup was light and skin toned colors were used. Nails were usually lighter shades and matched the lipstick, not as bright as today's fashion.

Lots of Aqua Net Hairspray. Bright shades of makeup. Shirts, take an old sweatshirt, cut the shoulders off and put on a tank underneath. Voila!

Just look at Madonna pics from the 80's. Teased hair, lots of eyeliner, blush, and pink lipstick. Off the shoulder tops or tops that fell off the shoulder on one side with a tank top underneath. Look at some pics from the movie Flashdance. Leggings, lace mini skirts, faded jeans, lots of jelly bracelets.

BRIGHT NEON. Z-Cavaricci, Hypercolor shirts, butterfly type collars, Heavy eye makeup in like bright purple and pinks and have super tall bangs and frizzy hair. Listen to DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince or something like that!! Sounds like fun!!

very bright neon colors. Some kind of neon and black broad striped shirt, spandex pants leg warmers and a shoe string head band. Lots or blush heavy eye makeup and a neon lipstick.

above are all great answers, definitely off the shoulder. lots of bangles, stripes of blush, big colourful earrings..... fingerless gloves and plenty of fluoro. my sister had an 80's themes birthday a few years ago, i even had jelly shoes! one pointer, if you are plenning on wearing a lycra miniskirt over lycra leggings (as you do), watch out, cos lycra slides off lycra, and my skirt hit the dancefloor a couple of times.

Cut the neck out of a grey sweatshirt so that it falls off of your shoulders. Wear a white wife beater underneath.
Your eyes should have cat-eyed black liner.

I got it....Those fishnet colored stockings with a brightly colored short skirt with a wrap or a big flashy belt and boots. Lots of braclets or swatches and BIG loopy earings! I think I just gave away what era I grew up in! Good luck!
