I have already received a certificate in Phlebotomy. I have applied for over 20 jobs but got no respones because i don't have "on the job experience" Where I live I have called and asked about doing an intership but no one will do it, not one I have found anyway.

I would suggest an internship. Contact your local blood bank or hospital, and ask them. Usually, they will do a training period to ensure your capabilities, and the benefits aren't bad at all.

I know.......I learned phlebotomy that way. I never went to school for it.........I was trained at the blood bank.

Its called lets make a deal. Go in there with an attitude and a plan. A mindset that you won't take no for an answer. Be candid with the interviewer and that you are willing to take a pay cut to prove your value and the experience. Be the best you can be. Be on time or early. A team player. Go out of your way to know names and greet everyone that you in contact with. Remember, a friendly, out-going and pleasant person to work with that needs some guidance is better than one with a been there done that and it is not my job attitude. Or someone that has bad work habits. Good luck.

Have you considered trying to be a volunteer or intern for blood drives (like Red Cross). Even though they may not allow you to work with the blood, you can get experience around the process and meet people who are doing that work. Those people may become career contacts for you to find out about jobs or things you should learn.

You can also contact some of the big Lab comanies like "LAB CORP" to see if they train people for this. I know that in NY City Lab Corp will arrange to have blood drawn in the local Pharmacies, I don't knoe the procedure, regarding who draws the blood, but if the need people they may have your answer.
Good luck
