My brain is anti-mathular?

Ugh, I'm having such a brain fart! I cant figure this out: Tom has 2 candy bars that he wants to share w/ his 6 friends how much should each person receive if the seven of them are to receive the same amount??? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I'm so dumb!!

1/7 of each candy bar therefore since he has 2 candy bars it will be 1/7 + 1/7 = 2/7 of the two candy bars

hmmmm 1/7 th? Well if you cut each bar into sevenths and gave each a piece from each bar that would be 2/14 th which is also 1/7 th lol. Beats me what else it would be.
