sorry, I couldn't resist that one. In your manual, there should be a 1.800.# and call them. Or at least look in your manual and lookup, I guess in setup or at least in the index look for something labelled speech. And yes, those talking gadgets can be annoying. Lexmark printer does it to me all the time.

Its powerful to let us know which OS of mac u have. they're all extremely distinctive. In speech, decrease than gadget selections, confirm that the container referred to as "Announce whilst an application demands ure interest" is checked. Then bypass to ichat, selections, alerts after which uncheck the container which says Announce whilst experience happens, and bring the quantity back to 0 in that container. that should stop it. Im working leopard, so thats what to do in there.

Go to your system preference, look for the speech, icon of a microphone. click on the and deactivate the speech function. Try doing that.

First get a hammer...........sorry(but thats one way) ok you need to go to the speach engine and under the settings,turn it off as its intended for people with bad eyesight......A quicker way is mute the volume...
