Journalism: why: well because in high school you write a lot and the better you know how to wite the better it is for you...essays will be much easier and you will be well rounded at the type of writing there is...

Spanish not really cause you will do that in High School no matter what

Leadership: well if I had more information about this then this would be my second choice people are really looking for leadership skills but if you are not confortable with that and would rather follow (not that it is a bad thing) then you should not do this elective

Yearbook is creative and fun thats about it you wont get a thriller off of it...

TA: is always fun, if listening to your ipod is important to you then do that but it should not be your priority

Really its what ever you call it, I did not take electives in 8th grade because they were not requiered...but I am a senior now in high school and I have taken 4 years of art 2 of photography and 1 of multimedia...art is my passion maybe make your heart pick and not really what seems important in the layer...

Good luck

Spanish would help you the most because it is better to learn a foreign language in middle school, so that when you enter freshman year in high school, you'll have some background in a foreign language and not be completely lost.

They're all good, but I'd go with foreign language. Here in CA, it's tough to get a job unless you're bilingual. Start learning it now, and keep taking it. It'll really pay off for college and getting hired.

leadership is good, they take care of a lot of things in the school, they represent the student body, it shows you work well as a leader and with other people. and it looks really good for college applications if you continue with it in high school!
