I have to do a poem about high school in my english class. (i'm in 9th grade) It needs one simile, one metaphor, and one personification. it needs 7-10 lines. Can you help me think of a poem? Any help would be appreciated.

im in 9th grade too, and i love writing poems, although i cant really write your poem for you (i dont mean to sound nasty haha) sometimes if you just clear your mind and listen to music or go somewhere quiet, it really helps.
dont think about high school the way it is, for metaphors and similes, think of what high school *reminds* you of. for example, it could be a maze, or a jungle even! it all depends on how you view it!!!
and dont forget again, poems dont have to rhyme! and as for personification, just add life to something that stands out to you, like, if there is a bell at your school (i dont know if there is) you could say that it screams with a loud voice or something!!!

School is a universal theme. What makes your day different from any one else's? Do you follow all of the rules? Are you in your seat when the bell rings? Listen attentively to the teacher? Have friends, eat in the same place each day at lunch? Involved in sports or other activities? Is school a grind, work, easy, fun, boring. Simile: Going upstairs when the lunch bell rings is like a salmon trying to go up river to spawn. Metaphor: The cafeteria food is industrial puke that glows in the dark. Personification: The halls swallow more minds than it does soles (pun on souls).
