We used to love watching it, but this year I think untalented people made the cut, and every night I watch it, it's just boring. Half of them are professional singers already. I don't sympathise with any of them. They all just seem so fake.

Yes, it's definately boring this year. Normally, I only watch for the auditions week. Last year I actually watched it all the way through. There were many interesting and talented people.
This year very few people have stood out to me at all. I thought the auditions were an omen for the season to come. Many of them were incredibly disapointing. They weren't as crazy, and weren't as good.
I've pretty much given up on the season and I'll probably watch something else instead, and simply tune in for the finale. The way this season's going it may be the REAL last episode of the show.

I saw some of the auditions this year and it just wasn't the best. I haven't watched it since then. It just all of the guys singing now and I really don't want to hear the guys sing as they might not even be good singers. I don't even know if the female singers are even good. I think past years of American Idol are better as they have had a lot of great singers like Katherine McPhee, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and many more.

I agree!!! Its only because all the singers suck and whoever wins never gets popular. Seriously... where the heck is Taylor Hicks now? He made one comercial for Dodge and thats it. But look at Jennifer Hudson, and Kathering McPhee. Jennifer Hudson just won the Golden Globes AND the Oscars and Katherine McPhee made hunreds of thousands of dollard on her cd in New York alone in only a week. Give me a break.

It's boring every year. It's too long and why bother with the judges when its the public who votes (not very well most of the time). The only part I find half entertaining is the auditions....

I've been bored too. It just doesn't seem like any of them has a stand-out personality like in the past years. Usually by this point I have two or three favorites, but so far no one has totally wowed me.

I dont see this season as being able to top season 5. But yes boring, I record it though so I can fast forward to the few interesting moments.

american idol is no good anymore. i cant picture any of those people being the new american idol. but its fun to see a chubbier jack osbourne and the guy with a pretty hair and simon making mean comments.

We still like it. I think those with good voices this year are GREAT. Those that are borderline will be voted off quickly. We're also anxious to see the guest star singers for this season, like Bon Jovi. I think once they get to the top 12, it's going to be a great show. :)

Yeah it is boring. I thought Sanjaya would be it.
But, oh boy.
I wish there is someone like Bo Bice for this year.
Maybe if they haven't done those background check,
maybe we would have some exciting people on this show.
