y/9 is just the same as 1/9 y.

so 1/9 y + 2 = 4

subtract 2 to both sides

u'll get 1/9y = 2

divide both sides by 1/9 or multiply both sides by nine.. (just the same thing)

u'll get y = 18

hope i helped

First, subtract 2 from both sides.

y/9 = 2

Next, multiply each side by 9.

y = 18
