I'm really interested in making and assembling my own telescope but I find it difficult to look for materials and a simple step by step procedure. I tried to surf the net but I found telescopes that are so hard to make and with so expensive materials. I hope you can give me simple guidelines or tips on how to make one. Thanks in advance.

The bible of telescope making is called "Amatuer Telescope Making." Link below

It's not a "simple" process by any definition. The only reason people do it is for the love of doing it. Grinding and polishing the mirror is by far the hardest part and it can take months. You can greatly simplify that process by buying the mirror...but the rest of the scope will still be a chore. And, no, not all the parts are cheap. That said, look for designs on a "Dobsonian" mount...that is the easiest and cheapest to make.

Seriously, it may be much easier to buy a telescope. Ironically, it may not cost much more either...at least not until you get to sizes above 6 or 8 inches.

I would prefer to buy one. It is cheaper to buy one. There were some web site mentioned before my answer.
It is not a labor intensive task to build one, so you would not save any money.
I admire your desire to build a simple telescope.
