I agree with you. Racism and homophobia are just manifestations of a prejudiced individual's insecurities.

Actually sweetheart, it's "Racism and homophobia." Homophobism isn't a word.

To answer your question, I choose to accept people because they are people. I don't care what their angle is. We are all different, we are all equal. Some believe we are all children of God. Whatever... We are all here and we have to live with each other so why don't we all just get over our egos and insecurities and get on with life?

M'kay?

Yes, I agree that homophobia is just as ignorant as racism and a person's sexual orientation does not matter to me.

As for it being a social stress, if you read the scientific literature there is evidence that it may be genetic: http://www.cbmw.org/news/ram150404.php. There are several books on it as well--I just did a quick web search. The people who like to dismiss genetics like to say its a "lifestyle" choice, which it isn't.

Because the colour of a persons skin is controlled by their genes, and completely out of their control. Homosexuality, to sciences best guess, is a social stress on a person. You don't roll a dominant "homosexual" gene like the child of a caucasian and african couple would for the colour of their skin.

That and the fact that you waste resources that productive, reproducing persons could use to better diversify our species. Thanks for that.
