I might be getting a laptop soon..and I want to transfer pictures from this compter to the new one. Can I just use my ipod nano's flash drive for this? Or will there not be enough space to do this?

an ipod is confusing to me. if you put pictures on your ipod through itunes and want to put those same pics on your new computer, it won't work. if you drag and drop pics from your computer to your ipod, then drag and drop the pics from the ipod to the new computer, then that would work.

Since the iPod is pretty much a portable hard drive with Audio & Video playback (as well limited gameplay support). Therefore you can treat it like any other portable device!

The only issue you'll most likely have to face are space limitations (ie, space available to move files), but you could always split up your pictures into batches to just do multiple transfers between computers.

In fact, some computer mags are suggested to use your iPod as a portable HD (loaded with portable apps) to help lighten up your baggage. The only thing you need to do is to borrow somebody else's computer (w/ a spare USB port) to access it.
