There is only one kind of sleeping, drinking, walking, running! Like that, there can be only one kind of success, and not true success or false success! Success is success for one's effort and hard work! And that success can not be evaluated by another man ever!!
Why do you evaluate true success or false success and all such non-sensical thinking! Our mind can betray us to stamp other's success as not a true success, to escape from our guilty consciousness!
For a school final student, getting centum is supposed to be an accepted kind of true success, by all standard! But if you are a co-student and evaluate by your "true successful-evaluation", you may say, getting only numerical marks are not true success, but one's total behavioural out-come is!!
SO, SUCCESS CAN NOT BE GENERALISED FOR ALL! IT IS A COMPARISON BETWEEN THE ALIKE PEOPLE AND THEIR PERFORMANCE IN GENERAL!!
No one will keep on argueing with others that the sun and moon are in square shape! Because,it is an emphirical truth and every one will know its round shape.
Like that, if you know already which one is a true and real success by your conscience, you will not be asking such question either!!
When you have doubt about your life only, you try to pull few people of your same wave-length, and try to form a general opinion on true success and fake success and so on and so forth, so as to conceal your inability to succeed in a particular field! OUR MIND IS A GREATEST DECEIVER, WATCH IT CAREFULLY!!
SUCCESS IS SUCCESS, AND THERE IS NO STRINGS IN IT! YOU CAN BE SUCCESSFUL IN ANY PLACE & ANY TIME, FOR THE BENEFIT OF YOURSELF AND FOR THE HUMANITY AS A WHOLE!!

appears to be a genuine question! one has to define success first, before trying to find answers to it.. do you want to base it on peoples perceptions or on universal truth? one should contemplate on life and its puspose, our relationships etc., and arrive at our own parameters for success.. at the end of it all, has it resulted in my growth - measured not in materail terms but in terms of inner growth? if yes, im successful
