At age 16 what are the steps of getting emancipated from my pearnts?

My whole life with my pearnts has been hell. I want to move to my best frineds house where i am welcomed and i would still be going to the same school and everything. Any one know the step to get out of my pearnts house?

You have to petition the court for emancipation. It’s VERY RARELY granted. You’d have to meet every requirement for it (most teenagers don’t even come close to doing that). One of the requirements is that you have to prove to the court that you can fully support yourself--paying for rent, utilities, groceries, medical expenses, etc--with no assistance from anyone. That doesn’t mean moving in with someone else and depending on them for even partial support/assistance. There are other requirements too, but since you apparently wouldn’t meet that one….

Well, run away. Seriously though, is it really as bad as you're saying. If it is, I'm sorry to question you, but really, unless they are abusing you somehow or they are neglecting and hurting you, they probably aren't as bad as you think. Try to accept them for who they are. If you feel you can, you should sit down and talk with them, let them know how you feel. If you don't ever find a way to love them, you can always find love from the Heavenly Father. God is real, and He is easy to find, find faith and life won't be any easier here on earth, but you will have a reason for living. Don't look for an easy way out, serve others and try to find God's purpose in your life. Just remember, nothing on this earth is as bad as the real Hell, don't plan on going there.

You will have to be financially independent, meaning you'll have to be able to pay all your own living expenses and you'll have to be able to convince a judge that they aren't good parents and that you can live better on your own than you can with them.
