Like how many episodes can be 1 GB?

Yeah, it's probably about 100 to 130MBs. I can get a full length movie (approx. 1:30) for about 650MB. The reason is that the video files are MP4 or mpeg 4 and the file format is much smaller than the DVD version or most other formats. Ipods only take the MP4 video files, but there is conversion software available if your video isn't in MP4 format.

I have a 80GB video Ipod and I have probably about 20 shows, 5 movies, 30 or so podcasts, and about 3300 songs, but still have almost 45GBs left.

i wouldn't even say its a gigabyte. a rough estimate is about 110mb/episode. so about 9 episodes in a gig
