WHY IS MY OVULATION DATE IS ON OCTOBER 29, 2006, AND I HAD SEX ON NOVEMBER 4, 2006....MY LAST PERIOD WAS ON OCOTBER 15, 2006....DOES THIS EQUAL RIGHT?
AND RIGHT NOW IM 19WEEKS AND 2 DAYS....SHOULDNT I BE 17 WEEKS? CAN YALL PLEASE HELP ME AND TELL ME WHY THEY COUNT FROM THE LAST PERIOD? THANK YOU

Your pregnancy week is counted from when your last cycle started, not when you got pregnant. You can't always tell exactly when you got pregnant. They count from then because it is more accurate to determine your, and the baby's, care.

They dont go by the exact date of the pregnancy. I tried explaining this to my husband and it is a bit confusing.. From the date of your last period to the date of ovulation it is roughly 2 weeks. When you become pregnant they count those 2 weeks in as gestational weeks. Making you 19 weeks and 2 days instead of 17 weeks and 2 days. Even though you wasnt pregnant it is still counted dont know why but it is.. You can read it for yourself in What to Expect When Your Expecting.. Hope this helped you any at all...

they count from the last period b/c they can be certain of this date, yes u may know when u had sex and conceived but for the doctors sake they use the last period to make it easier and as a standard for counting pregnancy weeks. thats why they say u can go in 2 weeks before or after your actual due date b/c its not a certain date. the further date 19 weeks is your gestational age the 17 weeks date is about the actual age of the baby. its kinda funny that way b/c it means u are actually pregnant before you get pregnant but its just the way it goes!
