I like my cat better than my dog. He doesn't pee on the carpet, chew stuff up or sniff me in inappropriate places. He just sits next to me and purrs. Plus, they come in a convenient carrying size! I don't even have to walk him. Nice kitty. I do love dogs, by the way. I just can't believe how time-consuming and destructive they are. Kitties can be declawed if necessary, although mine is not. I don't know, maybe my doggie just isn't that smart?

They lower your blood pressure, just having them sit in your lap and purr is wonderful. You know if a cat comes to you, you are a special person, cats are very aloof creatures.

They're very sweet animals. Just like any pet, most aren't kept for any other reason than company anymore nowadays... few people nowadays need their horse for transportation, their dog to help them hunt...

Because he keeps me company, and it's nice to have someone who is genuinely excited to see me when I get home from work. I like cats because you don't have to take them for walks and they don't hump your leg either.
