I'm not even a leafs fan and I can see the guy is hopeless he is to the leafs what Danny Ainge is to the Celtics,he wants to do the right thing just doesn't have a clue how.

JF Jr has no plan, that's plain. He's working not to get fired. Which will get him fired. Worst GM since Gerry McNamara (who had an excuse he suffered brain injuries in a car accident).
It doesn't help that the Leafs can't sell any more tickets since they've been sold out since the 1940's. And of course, the club makes bags of money now that there's a salary cap.
More doom and gloom in the Leaf's nation for years to come.

He has no clue. The team is on the verge of not making the playoffs again (although I still think they'll make it as the 8th seed) and they're not getting much better. Someone in that organization needs to realize that they have to start from scratch. Yes, that will mean a few years of terrible teams, but look at the Penguins. They suffered through it and now they're great.

I think he believes he has a plan. I believe he definitely wants to win (cause he would love to look like a hero, like his father). His plan is to stick with his young core of guys (steen, stajan, white, coliacovo,wellwood, etc) the problem is, these guys are not superstars and never will be. The leafs need a superstar player and Sundin is not it. I would have traded Sundin at this deadline and brought in some new talent.

bring back wendel clark and al iafrate, give this team some character.
leafs need a stud goaltender and a couple of high-speed snipers up front.
